I am an instagram crazy person and I sometimes stumble upon great profiles that I just do not realize how many hours I spend on it. Recently I discovered one such profile that I will be discussing here in this post - Bindurekha Accessories,an accessories range by Leena from Pune, India.
A little about Leena :
I have managed to pursue my passion of designing one of kind jewelry simultaneously with a career in the software industry. I was never a gold jewelry buff and always wanted something unique and different suiting my tastes. I did not like the mass production jewelry in the showrooms and hence started designing my own. The focus was on creating something which was one of a kind or at least not readily available in the market. As requests and orders began to pile up the need for an organized business enterprise that will provide quality products and efficient service became apparent. The venture has been named Bindurekha which means a line of dots / a verse.

Bindurekha products are a polished blend of designer creativity fueled by designer findings, exotic stones and beads assuring an exclusive product that stands out unlike mass production items. We have 3 series:

Elegance Series: 92.5 Silver findings fused with semi precious stones
Bindurekha Pearls: Natural and shell pearls fused with semi precious stones and enamel/ Mina work findings.

My opinion on Bindurekha :
Elegance personified !! It represents the Indian women of today. Traditional, yet stylish & sleek for the modern women. I am very much sure so many of them noticed it when I wore it on the day I went out and I felt so happy.
Their collection looks quite new and fresh and it would suit those who prefer simple jewelry. The price range too is in the affordable range.
What I got & how I styled it :
The product that I received is from the Dhaatu collection- 100 % handmade from nickel silver metal sheets. The paint is a special dye used for metals. It is a beautiful hand painted pendant attached to a thin purple string.It can be worn for work, or for outings depending on the way you would like to dress up yourself.

Price of the Necklace : INR 1499
Though the necklace is very lightweight, the pendant is very sturdy and it has to be stored inside the box provided for long lasting effect of the paint & the beads.
I wore the necklace with a simple white T shirt because I wanted the purple to stand out. I wore a black metal, laser cut earring from Westside to match the beads of the necklace.

The Bindurekha collection is truly a different kind of jewelry line one has to try out and they can be worn along with Indian wear as well as modern wear.
