Soap & Glory Scrub 'em and Leave 'em Body Buff Mini Review

Soap & Glory products were on my wishlist for a long time because I simply loved their packaging. If you had read my Sephora Haul posts here, you would have known that I got a Soap & Glory Body Buff and I have been trying it out since that day. What are all these fancy terms - Body Buff, Body Scrub, Body polish ? and how do they they differ from each ? I have always wondered why there were new terms coined for the same action performed by the product, by every other brand. Basically all these products do the same work of clearing your skin of its dead cells and giving a new look to your skin, but have some extra ingredients that gives a sheen in case of a body polish & so on.

My grandmother used to use coconut coir to remove the dead cells and she had amazing skin till her 70's. I understood the importance of exfoliation & started trying out different products ranging from homemade coffee scrub to the current Soap & Glory Body buff. Now lets find out if the Soap & Glory Body Buff is really good or is it all just hype.

My experience with Soap & Glory Scrub ém and leave ém body buff :

The Soap & Glory Body Buff comes in a tub packaging which looks really cute in a pink & white combination. There is no spatula to take the product out , so you need to use your fingers.

I got the Mini tub which is 50 ml and it lasted for about 6 uses while I used it for just my arms, shoulder and neck mainly. The body buff has a very different texture when compared to other scrubs and the scrubbing particles range from tiny to sugar granule size , which provides different variations of scrubbing.

The body buff consists of sea salt , babassu oil which provides good scrubbing and moisture to the skin at the same time.

I compared this with The Body Shop Satsuma body polish :

I shaved my arms using the Venus razor & scrubbed using both the Soap & Glory Scrub & The Body Polish Satsuma body polish on one arm each and here are the comparison results :

1 : The Soap & Glory body buff is a little resistant to movement and does not spread that easily. So you will need lots to scrub the whole arm area and hence might not be economically viable. The Satsuma Body Polish is more creamy & glides smoothly and a few drops is enough to scrub the whole arm.

2 : The Soap & Glory body buff has varied sizes of particles which cause good scrubbing action and buffs the dead cells really well after washing it water. The Satsuma body polish has uniform size scrubbing particles which gives a glow to the skin post usage but not a great scrubbing action.

3 : The Soap & Glory body buff does not lather but washing it off is quite easy. The Satsuma body polish lathers really well.

4 : The scent of Soap & Glory body buff does deserve a mention because it had this amazing scent that remind me of my Armani perfume and I love love love it to the core. The Body Shop Satsuma polish has a citrusy smell which of course is good,  but not as good as the Soap & Glory body buff.

Recommendations : For those of you who would love to try Soap & Glory products, do try their mini samples first and purchase the big ones if you like them. I am quite happy with the buffing action of this body buff but it gets used up really fast,  which I am not quite happy about.
