A lip liner is one such thing whose benefits I realised only after becoming a makeup artist. While applying makeup for clients and that too when it has to be long staying, a lip liner pencil plays a very important role. It acts as a good base and prevents the lipstick from bleeding and it defines the lips really nicely.

I am a huge of bright lipstick shades be it reds or pinks and I feel they suit me much better than nudes or browns. I am currently on the hunt for bright fuschia lipsticks but I am unable to zero on the perfect shade so please do drop in suggestions if you have. Orange is one of the best shades that suits me and I am totally cool about rocking an orange lipstick. One of my recent found love is this bright coral orangish shade from Makeup For Ever which I spotted at Changi Airport at the duty-free shop.

Sephora is one of my favorite brands when it comes to lipsticks & lipstains. I feel they have an awesome shade range & they are decently priced too. Fashion Trends are always cyclical ! I am sure most of you would accept this fact because the trends that were active few years back are coming into picture again like Velvet blouses, crop tops and so many more.But some trends will never leave the fashion industry like the Red lipstick and the vampy fall burgundy lipstick.

Though summers are about bright colors, there are some things which can never go out of fashion - a mild daily wear lipstick shade. Wondering why such a dramatic title? This post is about a dramatic yet dignified lipstick named On the Catwalk from the brand Essence.I was a person who was totally apprehensive about wearing bright lipsticks and used to always go for milder shades, but beauty blogging has changed me. It has made me experiment with  different shades and it has given me the confidence to flaunt bright shades of lipsticks.

I rarely do online shopping and for cosmetics it is a sure No No since I prefer seeing the colors and trying them on me personally. When I had to choose the shade for the Essence lipstick (PR sample), I looked at some pictures of lipsticks on their website & chose Essence long lasting lipstick- On the Catwalk, but however was rather apprehensive on what I would be receiving. On receiving the sample my worst fears seem confirmed , as Essence  On the Catwalk looked quite dark for me on first look. But the minute I applied it, it changed my opinion totally and now I can vouch for it and I feel it suits me very well.

I have been wanting to get my hands on a orange lipstick for a long time because I was bored of sporting pinks, neutrals and reds and wanted to experiment. Summer is the best time you can experiment with bright sunny colors and what more than orange , which can compliment the summers.

I just happened to see the Inglot store and I went in to see if I could spot something really nice. I was checking out their eye shadow refills and I was not quite sure if I needed them. Then I moved onto lipstick section and then found this beautiful orangey - red shade called 103.

How I became passionate about MAC IMPASSIONED

Have you ever heard of a husband who fights with his wife and insists she should get herself a MAC lipstick? We fought in front of the MAC Store in a mall for me being adamant not to buy one for now and he being persistent that I should get one. TOUCHWOOD.. I am so lucky to have him in my life & the result - MAC IMPASSIONED is in my stash now.

I have read a lot about this shade before in other blogs but I kept my mind open to other shades as well. I wanted some bright shades and tried quite a few like MAC SPEAK LOUDER, IMPASSIONED, ON HOLD etc. ON HOLD & IMPASSIONED impressed me a lot. I first requested for ON HOLD but the store did not have it in stock and hence I was left with no option but IMPASSIONED. I first felt it was too bright & cooler on my MAC NC 40 skin tone but after few minutes it became a bit more warmer on my skin tone and completely enhanced my face.

When I first applied it looked quite similar to my Sephora R 34 shade but later slowly exhibited the coral shade in it which I love.

Diwali is around the corner and its all about fun, happiness, colors and lights. We ladies do not need any reason for shopping and that too if its Diwali there is no second thought. There has been lot of shopping happening for a wedding that I have to attend next month. So the result - I am very happy!!

I know this is a very late buy & post - but this is apt for the season & festival. The Loreal moist matte range has done enough rounds in the blogosphere(wanted to use this word for you know so many times- finally).

I got it only now & I did not want to delay the post. I picked up the shade Lincoln Rose which is apt for the festive season.

Summers are the best time to flaunt neon, corals & pinks.I am not a lipstick person although I end up accumulating them. I love wearing heavy jewelry always & finally have to have understated makeup. I had carried few neutral lipstick colors to my Paris & Switzerland trip.After I saw The Sephora showrooms in Paris , I was tempted to try something from there. So it was my husband's suggestion I try a pink lipstick and wanted me to wear them during the rest of the days in Switzerland since I had planned all colorful dresses.

Yes I know its gone overboard today(a bit ??), but its nice to start off the New year this way :) Today I'm reviewing Revlon Superlustrous Lipstick in the shade Cha Cha Cherry.I personally like Revlon because of the quality it offers,though being a drugstore brand. Cha Cha Cherry is a pretty coral pink color that compliments Indian skintones very well.I was looking for a pink  lipstick with warm undertones which is when I stumbled upon this shade at a Revlon Counter in Lifestyle a year back.It was love at first sight when I tried the shade on me & bought it immediately.Now let us analyse Revlon Cha Cha Cherry...

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Cha Cha Cherry- My take on the product:

The Super Lustrous range of lipsticks are a much raved about products of Revlon..There are about 72 shades to choose from(Husbands/Fathers/Brothers beware !!!!!) and the shades are divided into finishes such as Frost, Creme,Pearl and Matte. Recently another 10 more shades have been introduced & the Frost finish has been removed & replaced with Shine.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Cha Cha Cherry- Packaging:

Revlon Cha Cha Cherry comes in a black shining case with a golden band in the centre and the name REVLON printed on it.The shade number, name & finish is printed at the bottom of the lipstick and the top portion has a transparent part where the shade can be seen & identified.Though it looks a bit old fashioned/traditional it is one of the cutest lipsticks in my vanity.

              

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Cha Cha Cherry- Shade: 

Cha Cha Cherry is a nice reddish pink shade in the tube as well as when you swatch it on yr arms or apply it on your lips.We have all heard of the phrase Appearances can be deceptive but Cha Cha Cherry doesn't deceive us in anyway with respect to the shade.According to me, this shade will suit both warm toned & cool toned skintones.

                           

                                          

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Cha Cha Cherry- Color Payoff & Texture:

Revlon Cha Cha Cherry is extremely pigmented, one swipe is enough to give us the off to office look... but when you want to wear it for functions or parties you can layer it.The finish reads frost but I feel this particular lipstick should come under creme finish because it glides smoothly on my dry lips and gives a moisturised effect.The lipstick wears off in about 1 to 2 hours with eating in between but it settles into the fine lines & gives a horrible effect after few hours. I make sure I wear some lipgloss or lip balm on top of it to prevent this. I find this settling into fine lines & uneven wearing off a major fallback with Cha cha Cherry.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Cha Cha Cherry- Quantity & Price:

The total weight of the product is 4.2 gms and the price is Rs 550.For the quality it offers, the price I feel is lesser than other brands.

Pros of Super Lustrous Range:

1: Wide range of shades available

2: Moisturizing property of the lipstick

3: Classic & Compact packaging

4: Price is relatively cheaper than other brands for the quality it offers.

Pros of Cha Cha Cherry:

1: Pretty shade ; choice for bridal wear too

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Cha Cha Cherry- Cons:

1: Settles into fine lines if my lips were not moisturised well.

2: Doesnt wear out evenly.

3: Transfers very quickly.. I applied it & went for breakfast & it was almost gone :(

Revlon Cha Cha Cherry does moisturise our lips and make you look so cherryshable(!!!!) but after an hour completely vanishes from my lips.If Revlon plans to change Cha Cha Cherry's formula , I might repurchase it though :)
