I know this post is quite late for those friends in India where some of them are experiencing monsoons and some, light showers but nevertheless, for Singapore, it is still summer. I love bright colors and sport them quite often especially shades like bright yellow and orange. You all know that I am a jewelry addict and had recently purchased some classic pieces from my favorite brand Lovisa and you can read about that here.Long Story Short - I had been eyeing a statement necklace for a long time and finally I bought it during the sale season but did not know how to style it since it was quite a chunky / funky one. You have to be very careful while styling a statement necklace as it can make or break an outfit depending on how you are styling it. After going through a lot of pictures on Instagram, Pinterest and not finding the right inspiration, I decided to trust my instincts and searched shops for the matching outfit.

I love wearing ethnic clothes but at the same time, I fear to clean them & press them because they usually have intricate embroidery or some other work which involves additional care.When we moved to Singapore, the chances of me wearing ethnic clothes have relatively decreased but the love for ethnic clothes has never reduced. There are centres to do the laundry and get your clothes dry cleaned here too, but they are quite expensive and hence I had to find some alternative way of getting my ethnic clothes cleaned and pressed.

While looking at various options online, I finally stumbled upon a garment steamer from Philips and here I have the review of the same. I wanted a handy cleaner to clean and at the same time iron my clothes, which involved more attention.

Sometimes I really feel perplexed how some of the bloggers regularly do monthly empties post, because for me to completely finish a product seems like a big chore. Phew ! but finally, I managed to clear out some of the products from my bathroom vanity by intentionally using them on a regular basis in order to fill up with new skincare products.

I always have this habit of opening up new products when the old one is only about half used but, this time, I made my mind to completely finish off the old products so that I can have fresh products to try.

So lets us see what are the products that I managed to empty over the course of 1.5 months and some of them have been reviewed already on the blog.

I used to be so crazy about them and did have a cute collection too. What is the most striking thing that one might notice in a barbie doll? The rosy cheeks are the first thing I notice in a barbie doll and it is really important for us to wear the right shade of blush in the right way to look great.

In my latest Sephora haul, I picked up a bold shade of blush which I would have usually avoided because I am an out and out coral blush lover.The blush is from NYX and is an Ombre blush with hues of bold pink and purple. Such shades of blush would look good when you are wearing silver toned accessories and I really needed one such shade in my vanity.

How many times have you simply stood in front of your wardrobe & wondered what to wear in spite of having your wardrobe full of clothes? It is because we are not sometimes organized or prepared for the upcoming days. Makeup removal is an arduous task, but definitely not something that you can give a miss if you are aiming for flawless skin. There are nights when I have literally started sleeping & then realized that I have not taken off my makeup and not prepared for a breakout the next morning. I have talked lots about makeup removal in so many posts and you would know it if you had been following my blog regularly.

Makeup removers, Cleansing waters, cleansing milk - all 3 of them basically do the same work, but to different extents. I have got to try all 3 of them & hands down, I would recommend cleansing Water like Bioderma,  but it can cause a hole in your pockets. There has to be some affordable alternative for them, right? So I got to try the Ponds White Beauty Cleansing Milk and so far, I have been really liking it and I have my review here.

I have always wanted to try Freeman's products after I tried one of their Avocado face mask in 2013 and after that, I got access to their whole set of products after shifting here and did try a few of them.I had purchased several masks and the Kiwi facial cleanser and today I am going to review the cleanser.

Freeman products usually have a strong chemical smell which I am not a big fan of but this cleanser does not have that strong chemical smell which makes me like it more.I love their product packaging which is usually very colorful and attractive to the eyes.

NYX XXL Lush Lashes Mascara Review

One of the first makeup product that I fell in love with was a Mascara, followed by lipsticks. It can add so much glamor to your face and won't cost a bomb but it sometimes underrated too. Mascaras can brighten up your face instantly and can definitely pop your eyes out.

A mascara needs to be updated every 6 months in your vanity because there are high chances of developing an eye infection due to the accumulation of bacteria on the bristles.This is something I adhere to without fail because I cannot take chances when it comes to my eyes. So when my 6 months stint with Faces Mascara was over, I tried my hands on NYX XXL Mascara for which I have mixed opinions so far and let us move on to the review.

Of all the places I have traveled to , women with the best eye makeup ever were spotted in Dubai and women who were best dressed were spotted in Paris & Zurich. I was totally awestruck looking in both the above cases. 

Mastering eye makeup is an art and involves lot of practice & patience which I rarely have. However being a beauty blogger(or at least claiming), I need to often sport some basic eye makeup for reviewing eye products. But I am happy that I get to experiment lot with colors and sometimes it turns out good & sometimes bad. So recently one day, I just stumbled upon this palette of mine which had this gorgeous olive green eye shadow which I had not used at all.

The gorgeous Olive Green Eye shadow that I talked about is the Inglot Freedom System Eye shadow in the shade 44 which comes under the AMC Shine category.

Styling a Silver Layered Statement Necklace - Bohemian Way

Some things in life, that you have always wanted and wished for, would just find its way and reach you - My way of explaining the Law of Attraction. One of the online fashion Accessories company had approached me a few weeks back, asking if I would review their product. Initially I was very interested , but later on I found out that there was a big catch as I had to pay for the shipping & delivery charges,  which amounted to a huge sum of money ( upwards of USD 50 ). Though I did not have any issues for paying  and I finally decided to refuse to do it thinking that the product was not really worth that money I was going to pay for the shipping and weight. 

I was just roaming around in a mall recently on the eve of Christmas,  when I saw this huge board saying upto 70 % off in one of my favorite jewelry shops here in Singapore - Lovisa. You can read more about what I have previously bought from Lovisa here.

I found a very similar neck piece that "The Company " had offered me at about just 1/3 rd of the Shipping charges that I had to pay. The original price was about SGD 59 and I got it for SGD 20 and I felt it was totally worth it. There was no looking back and I wanted to grab it immediately along with 2 other earrings which also had great discounts.

So when such a beautiful necklace is in your collection, how long can you wait to style it and flaunt it. There is this beautiful lane in Singapore called Haji Lane , which is rated as one of the best spots for photo shoots. Haji lane is situated in the Arab quarter of the city containing the age old buildings which have been modified to house quirky, quaint coffee shops as well as boutique shops.

I dressed up well, grabbed the camera and my husband and headed there last weekend.So enough of talking and let us get to the Outfit, "The Statement Necklace " and the styling details.

Haji lane was supposed to be really colorful with wall murals and interesting buildings and hence I decided to dress in light colors and I chose white so that it would look great against the colorful background.
